Weather Station Mounting and Alignment

The Weather-Pro weather station has been designed to be mounted with the wind vane end of the cross arm pointing true north in the northern hemisphere and tru south in the southern hemisphere. This allows for the least possible shading of the light sensor by the other instruments. This means that the cross arm will be to the north side of tower or mounting pipe. If the station must be mounted in any other orientation the Wind Vane must be re-aligned (see Wind Vane Re-alignment)

To find True North:

• Determination the variation between True North and Magnetic North for your current location and time (your local boating shop will know)
• Use a compass to find magnetic north (avoid taking readings close to the tower or cross arm as this will effect you compass)
• Add or subtract the Variation for your location or time
• This will give you True North
